4. Health and Allergy Information
If you disclose health information, allergies, skin conditions, sensitivities, or medical concerns to Nail Oasis LLC for the purpose of receiving services safely, that information is used solely to assess whether and how services can be safely performed. Health disclosures are never shared with third-party marketing platforms, advertisers, or any party outside of service delivery and legal compliance requirements.
Nail Oasis LLC retains client service records and health disclosures for a period of five years following your last service, consistent with professional recordkeeping standards and applicable statutes of limitation.
5. Third-Party Platforms and Their Data Practices
Nail Oasis LLC operates across multiple third-party platforms. Each platform has its own privacy policy and data practices that apply independently of this policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each platform you use to interact with us.
Square
When you book an appointment or purchase through our Square Online Store, Square collects and processes your payment information, contact details, and transaction history. Square states that it handles security and PCI compliance for card storage and processing. Square may send receipts, reminders, notifications, and support messages through the contact information tied to your Square account.
Etsy
When you purchase through our Etsy shop, Etsy independently collects and processes your order information, payment details, and account information. For orders placed through Etsy, Nail Oasis LLC acts as the data controller only for shipping and order fulfillment information provided by Etsy necessary to complete your order. Etsy retains control over your payment information and account data. Etsy's privacy policy governs how your data is collected and handled on that platform.
Instagram and Facebook
When you contact us through Instagram or Facebook direct messages, those platforms collect and store your messages according to their own privacy policies. Nail Oasis LLC uses the information you share in those messages only to respond to your inquiry. A booking is not confirmed through social media — all confirmed bookings are completed through Square Appointments.
6. Booth Renter Disclosure
Nail Oasis LLC operates as an independent booth renter within a third-party salon location and is not affiliated with that salon. The salon's data collection and privacy practices are entirely independent of this policy. Nail Oasis LLC is not responsible for any data practices, systems, or disclosures of the host salon.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Our Square Online Store uses cookies and similar tracking technologies, including analytics tools provided by Square. These may collect information about how you interact with our store, including pages visited, time spent, and device information. This data is used to improve the store experience and is handled according to Square's data practices.
To learn more or manage your tracking preferences, you may review Square's Cookie Policy at square.com. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Our Cloudflare-hosted website does not independently collect personal information or use tracking cookies.
8. SMS Communications
If you opt in to receive SMS messages, we may send appointment confirmations, reminders, and related service messages to the phone number you provide.

Square's automated booking system sends transactional SMS messages separately from any direct personal text communications from Nail Oasis LLC's business phone number. These are distinct communication channels subject to different consent and compliance requirements.
9. Email Communications
We may communicate with you by email using our business email address for appointment-related correspondence, order follow-up, and general inquiries. We do not currently use third-party email marketing platforms. You may request to stop receiving non-essential email communications at any time by contacting us directly.
10. Direct Phone and Text Communication
We may communicate with clients directly by text message or phone call using our business phone number. Information shared through these communications is used only to manage your appointment or service inquiry and is not shared with third parties except as described in this policy.
11. Payment Information
We do not directly store or process full payment card details outside of our payment processors' systems. In-person and Square Online Store payments are handled through Square's payment infrastructure. Etsy payments are handled through Etsy's payment infrastructure. Nail Oasis LLC does not have direct access to your full card number through either platform.
12. How We Share Information
We may share information only as needed with:
- Square and other payment or scheduling providers
- Etsy, as required to fulfill orders placed through that platform
- Legal or tax authorities when required by law
- Other parties with your express consent
We do not sell your personal information.
13. Data Retention
We retain client records, payment records, and communication records for as long as reasonably necessary for business operations, legal compliance, dispute resolution, accounting, and recordkeeping. Client service records and health disclosures are retained for a minimum of five years following your last service.
14. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Square states that its payment system encrypts card data and is designed to protect against fraud. Security on third-party platforms including Etsy, Instagram, and Facebook is governed by those platforms' own security practices.
15. Service Photography and Endorsements
Nail Oasis LLC may photograph or share images of completed nail services on social media for promotional purposes, with your consent. If a complimentary service or other material benefit is provided in exchange for a client review, post, or testimonial, that relationship will be disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines. Clients are not required to consent to photography or provide any endorsement as a condition of receiving services.
16. Your Choices
You may:
- Request updates to your contact information
- Opt out of non-essential SMS messages by replying STOP
- Request that we stop sending non-essential email communications
- Request that we review or correct certain client information, subject to legal and operational limits
- Manage data collected by third-party platforms directly through those platforms' own settings and privacy tools
17. Children's Privacy
Our online services, booking tools, and stores are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our online platforms. For in-person services, clients under 18 are subject to the minor consent requirements described in our Terms of Service, which govern the age requirements for receiving nail services.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will apply once posted or otherwise communicated to clients.
